Either way, this severely hurts player retention, and players have nothing else to play for other than #1 GM. I am not sure if they made this ranked system for newer players, so they feel good about themselves when they climb to such a "high" rank so fast, or if it is just a faulty ranked system. I would like to see the player rank distribution for a month, but over half of the active player base are either Master or Grand Master. This last point rolls on to the next huge issue with matchmaking in which a majority of "players" until platinum are in fact bots. If you are high ranked, you don't want to risk the rank you have accomplished by using inexperienced decks if you are too low of rank, you wont be facing intelligent players or quality players to test your deck with. The ques are restricted to ranked modes that very greatly diminishes the thought of testing decks. Matchmaking and the current queuing system is the biggest issue in the game. The graphics are incredible and the art team are doing a great job and like I said I do think that this is a fun game and worth my time. It is very easy to get into this game, then end up quitting because you are bored, don't have the space to try out new strategies, or are just frustrated with current metas with balance changes coming too late. I still believe that this is a great game and will continue to bring in more and more players consistently, but will eventually lose players since there is no player retention. It is entirely and completely free to play and does not hinder players from climbing the ladder with common cards. Minion Masters is a great game that brings both aspects of hearthstone and clash royale game play together.
